I was watching tv the other day and had a commercial about a CEO for 7/11 and part of the commercial they had a camera panned close up to the business cards on his desk.  It was cool.  It had the 7/11 graphic on the upper left hand corner but the rest was black and white like a standard bc.

News and Notes

First of all i want to thank Otis for sending me bc's for my birthday this month.  They are appreciated.

Next i was cleaning up in the house when i found a few business cards to add to my collection.
                                 1. 1 Insurance Agency
                                 2. 1 Recreational/Camps
                                 3. 1 Magnetic/Pizza place
                                 4. 1 personal from family friend/collector
                                 5. 1 military/National Guard

Finally i wanted to let everyone know who reads my blog and i will send a message to the IBCC and ABCC, that i am looking for 2 certain cards to add to my collection.  One is a bc of any hot dog vendor, preferably with a pic on it and second, i am looking for an A&W restaurant bc that has a gold background to it.  If anybody finds them or has them and wants to trade, i will make the trade worth while.  You can leave a message here on my blog or email at taggz_82@yahoo.com.  Thank you.

Happy New Year!

Big Surprise!

Right after i blogged of my COC experience, I got a box in the mail.  It was full of business cards from a former collector.  After sifting through and taking out doubles, I ended up with 416 different bc's. I am now up to 24,315 cards.  Great surprise today!

Late Christmas present!

I had to run a few errands in town today and after i decided to stop by the Chamber of Commerce and see what they had.  I walked in and directly to my right, there was a shelf full of pamphlets and brochures of places in Maine and then i saw it.  A single shelve just with business cards.  I picked as many as i could.  I just came home and went through the stack.  Not including doubles, i managed to snag 47 different bc's.  Included in the 47 are some favorites.  They are as follows:

1: 3 real estate agents with pic (Kieffer Insurance)
2: 1 Veteran (Maine Veterans Homes)
3: 1 odd (TAPIS: Paranormal Investigation Society)
4: 1 Hotel/motel (Hampton Inn)
5: 1 restaurant/fast food (Tim Hortons)

At the end of the year, my current count is: 23,899

New cards

I received 2 bc's from my mom.  Both came from the same person.  1 is of a laundromat and the other is wood carving.

Later on, I visited my Aunt and she had a snack bag full of business cards.  After sorting through them and taking out doubles, the count came out to 50 total to add to my collection.  A good number of them are going into my favorites categories.
